With so many motorbikes produced over the years, everyone has their opinion about which is the coolest. It is a debate that will go on for years to come, but here at Bikers Are Welcome we have picked seven bikes that we think are the coolest.
Ducati has been making incredible motorcycles since the 1950s and during that time they have produced some amazing machines, so it is no surprise they are on the list of the coolest bikes of all time. The Ducati Sport 1000S combines a retro look with modern design qualities, the balance is perfect, and it is easy to see why it has been one of the most popular models.
The MV Agusta is stunning and we could stare at it all day. Released just before the turn of the Millennium the motorcycle has an impressive 750cc engine and unbelievable handling. It is fearsome on the road and its elegance is unrivalled as is the engine’s distinctive roar.
Road going race bikes have been all the rage with enthusiasts and the Yamaha YZF-R7 OW02 is the perfect representation of a race bike. Only 500 units were ever made which as well as cool makes it rare. The bike encapsulates everything about the Superbike era and fans of the sport were blown away by it.
This motorcycle is a beast, with a 999cc, V-twin engine it produces 120bhp. The look is stripped back to reveal the inner workings of engineering genius. This ‘naked’ bike has plenty of finesse as well as a lightweight frame that makes the steering smooth and manageable.
Ducati is up there with feats of engineering which are admired the world over. The Ducati 916 was an icon of the 90s and everybody wanted to get their hands on one. The bike was a huge success and was featured in music videos and films even receiving praise and recognition from the Guggenheim Museum as a valuable part of motorcycling history.
Triumph oozes cool, let’s face it one of cinema’s coolest actors of his generation, Steve McQueen was seen riding one in The Great Escape – that should elevate it on to this list. The motorcycle was a huge success when it was released in 1959 and is legendary in every sense of the word.
Last to make the list of seven of the coolest bikes of all time is the MV Brutale Dragster RR. It will not be to everyone’s taste, but we imagine that this is only a minority. It has great styling with controlled curves and sleek lines to match a muscular tank – how could you not fall in love with it?
